I've only been once, but i have no real urge to go back, apart from say for a cheeky weekend at short notice.

I honestly don't see the appeal of it, unless you have the stamina or inclination to go clubbing every other day.

14 quid for a drink, and 40+ quid to get into a club? Fuck off. I'd rather go to Miami for the WMC which is amazingly, probably cheaper to do. I felt like i was being taken for a ride the whole time on the white isle.

Having said that, the one time i did go clubbing properly for Cocoon @ Amnesia was fucking brilliant, but my rear end just felt royally fucked for the rest of it. Plus the san antonio west end felt like the bigg market in the mid nineties which took me all of about 6 months to get bored of when i was 17.

Since the rest of the world has woken up to clubbing and dance music these days, It doesnt feel like you have to head all the way there to get your fix. There are festivals and all sorts on every corner of the globe these days that are probably more fun.

aye. i'm going to global gathering and 2 other non clubbing related holidays (both abroad) in the space between now and october and i'm still not even touching the amount money that i'd need to have 'it large' over in ibiza.

mistak I like your ricky rodal reference. last i heard he had buggeredd off to london after people had tracked him down again, however unconfriemd reports say he is trying to run events in sunderland now

anyway back on topic you need an obscene amount of money to do clubbing in IBIZA. for 2 weeks you could easily rinse 2 grand

Not sure, but I had heard on the grapevine that Jay Pidgeon (Marco V's agent) had found out and had been onto Pete's people to let them know who they were dealing with...

    Fuck Ibiza*

Its a nice place but the exchange rate and general cost of the fucking place is going to be the death of it. Greed will make the place collapse in on itself. But then again, for one punter who fucks it off there's always going to be three more willing to fill the seat on the plane.

*Am i cool yet, or not cool enough?

I severely doubt it will die a death any time soon.

We have a generation who don't see a recession as a reason to stop spending, they just see it as a reason to switch to tesco own brand value yoghurts and 5p beans for dinner 365 days a year so they can still afford to line a pubs tills at the weekend and spunk a grand in Ibiza for 1-2 weeks a year.

People don't want to give up on their 'luxuries'.

..... and nowhere else in europe has clubbing, bars, parties and drugs for 7 days a week for 3-4 months a year.

Still plenty of the season left

Exactly. The choice of clubnights, DJ’s and now even genres, all within such a close proximity is amazing.

The prices are ridiculous though (Apparently 70 Euros to get into Guetta’s night!) But the clubs have always had your pants down when it comes to tickets and drinks. Its nothing new. People go knowing that you’re gonna need a canny bit of wedge if you’re wanting to go to all the big clubs. Then again if you don’t want to spend loads or cant afford to, you could always dig out clubs that don’t have huge line-ups and don’t have our eyes out e.g Underground which is class.

Croatia is class and I’ll definitely go back at some point. I only went for 4 days though so cant give an exact perspective but from what I can see its just festivals at the weekends rather than 7 days of clubbing.

Not quite sure what Pike’s on about like. Hideout Festival sold out as did our boat party with Mono_Cult (vid bellow). And i'd imagine every other festival this summer did as well.

Croatia is definitely getting popular and will continue to do so but I cant ever see it being as big as Ibiza
