Not at the moment pike, Greek and Italian debt worries are pushing the value of the Euro down, meaning you get more moolah for your monies.

M&S are always canny for the dosh Jim

book them online on the Travelex website then collect them from the airport. Always offers the best rate on the high street, beats M&S, Post Office etc. www.travelex.co.uk/uk

Thats a shit rate, I could get more than that from a place on the strip in San Antonio last week. Euro was 1.07 last week to the pound, it's currently about 1.14 if you look carefully and get a decent deal.

As for it being 1.5, blame the government for screwing it up ;)

Got to say, I was exactly the same about Turkey. Didn't fancy it one little bit but we ended up going last year as it was super cheap and we were skint......I had my reservations right up until getting there but I was very pleasantly surprised.

Had a cracking holiday, people were great, service/treatment was unreal and the food was spot on. So good infact were going again in 5 weeks (2 weeks for £290) and the exchange rate at the minute is about 2.60 lira to the pound which makes a pint about £1.80 in the most expensive places :-D

I'm hoping we have just as good an experience this time around but based on last time, other than going to ibiza i don't see any reason to holiday in europe again ;-)
