    The reason they are predominantly black/asian/turks is because of the area it is in - if there were lootings in the west end of Newcastle, then it would be similar. It is a lower class area where they house people such as Asylum Seekers and Refugees. Maybe these are the people feeling the pressure most from the recession and feel the need to release their anger and frustration.

    I'm against Female officers on the streets as it goes without saying they dont have the physical attributes that males can offer - surely you want your 'strongest' team out there - keep the women in the offices are on investigative issues.

    yeah i was thinking this last night, the Police Force could REALLY get caught out with their recruitment policy of giving jobs to 7 stone pretty blondes and 11 stone when wet school nerds.

    Thats not right mate, some of the place esp Ealing are some of the richest in London, Tottenham is far from poor or non white... Toxteth which would fall under what you describe was only brought into play last night

    I don't quite see where i'm wrong. It was a simple point that i made : It doesnt matter what the 'reason' is at the time, it has nothing to do with anything people say it is. It's a bunch of bored, jaded people with fuck all to do with their lives other than piggyback on top of any loosely veiled local issue that gives them an excuse to smash things up.

    Meadowwell = Excuse to smash things up
    Student Protests = Excuse to smash things up
    This = Excuse to smash things up

    It's monkey see, monkey do on a massive scale. The people they wheel up to stand in front of a camera and make like it's some kind of planned uprising against the tories (ha ha) or the cuts, or the colour purple, or england losing a football match ..... are only for the likes of you and I to ooh and ahh at.
