Im guilty of that, like!! Sorry!! I work for a bank, and u can put any notes on customers a/cs. Really slagging them off you like, but you have to be careful bcos they can ask for a copy of everything we write. Can get u in major trouble!!

everyone who has read this thread now has the "who give you extra" tune in their head= very successful marketing.

it may b a good marketing ploy but does it make you want to go to the halifax for a loan, mortgage etc etc?

personally i wudn't want to get anything form there (unless the rates were miles better than any1 elses) on the basis that their advert is shit & irritating!!

Just think Jus. Halifax use their own staff for the adverts. Ems might end up in one!! I think I'd rather shooot her than let her be in a Halifax ad!

Maybe we could try and get her to infiltrate the marketing dept and put an end to the nast ads! I say we get her a gun and she hunts down the brummie bloke!

Barclays, Midland (or whatever hong kong thing they r now), lloyds tsb are banks and halifax, northern rock etc are Estate Agents/Mortgage lenders so why mix the two? It always goes wrong.

At the end of the day they all fuck things up for their customers so i dont think it matters what they were orignally. HSBC are shite, Lloyds TSB are shite. Ive had bad stuff happen from both of them. No matter who you bank with, theyre always gonna fuck things up and blame it on their computer systems! I wish I didnt have to use a bank! Only use it to get my money out when I get paid

good idea, we had a nightmare with hsbc over my grandma a while back, not giving money out etc.

Ive been with Barclays for about 5years now and never had a single problem
