The only change I would make to the midweek team is Bowyer in for JJ, as Bow will get there in there faces & stir it & the pressure is on the Arsenal not lose there cool. I would have dropped Speedo but you need the height against Arsenal.

Agreed Bowyer needs to get stuck in the middle of the park and start kicking the shit out of people and ditch this new look goody, goody, image this is not the player we want !!!

I hope he gets stuck straight into Veira from the start and Bellers wind up Monkeyheed Keown from the off !!!

Is Robert banned for this one or is it the next match ???

Robert is okay for this 1. I hope Dyer is on the right as he will expose his big mate Ash Cole for what he is, an x-striker who is now a defender

Bowyer hasnt really done anything since he came and the team have played better without him .... if hes fit and ready to get stuck in then yeah he should play , him and speed in the middle bit of tackling muscle agaisnt viera and gilberto. i just hope robert doesnt go missing after his midweek heroics if we can get them on there back foot down the flanks well have a field day lauren is an attacking midfielder and niether him nor ashley cole are any good at defending .... i have a sneaky feeling we may nick a result ,, maybe 2-1 or 3-2.....cant wait!!

Robert is always up for it against Arsenal. As for Bowyer he is not a right sided player, he is a box to box middle of the park player.
His scoring record when played in the middle is excellent

Yeah exactly my thoughts Spence. Even though IMO JJ does better when playing from the start I would still play Bowyer instead. We also have the young Ambrose to come and maybe give Cole a bit of defending to do if Dyer goes in the middle too much.

Maybe Sir Bobby should think about playing Acuna and McClen, after all Viera did say that those 2 were the best midfield pairing he had played against a couple of season's ago!:p

We need Dyer playing in Pires/Giggs type way on the flank but really all over.

Totally agreed, less responability for him, he will still get back, but will have less responability than in the middle of the park.

He goes to deep in the middle a bit like Paul Scholes when he plays for England.

Yeah I know. One question, where do you notice Dyer the most on the pitch? This is not a trick question either!

The edge of our 18 yard box to just over the halfway line.Once over the halfway line he meets 2 banks of 4 & has to pass or needs to become Pele.

The edge of our 18 yard box, exactly, he is always picking the ball up there off shay or the full backs, he needs to be more ahead of the play, how often do you see him ahead of big al on the field, he needs to get up there, ie. leeds away last season

If Bellamy plays well, Newcastle play well. Simple as.

He is like an angry wasp at a bbq on a hot summers day.

When he starts harrassing people and running at them and dragging defenders, suddenly Robert and Dyer get fired up and start to play too.

I agree it might have been an idea to have Bowyer in for Speed, but Speed will do.

Only wish Bobby had pulled Bellamy off earlier on Weds (basically as soon as the third went in), so he would be fully fresh for tonight.
