Little Otik Anybody seen or heard of this film? Watched it last nite and it is well strange. Husband and wife are infertile n keep seeing images of babies. The husband digs up the roots of a tree which has a human shape so he trims it so it looks like a baby! The "baby" then comes alive n eats jus bout everything untill an pensioner kills it by splitting its belly with a hoe!
watched it half way through but fell asleep (when it started breast feeding ) - really enjoyed what I saw been meaning to watch the end for a while
i get weird dreams like that! i could write films and be rich, just have to write down my dreams when i wake up
Its about 3/4 years old. Was billed as a horror along the lines of Ring but its not scary in any way at all, just strange. Esp when it opens its mouth, licks its lips and then its eye appears n blinks at his dad! And the opening scene where a street vendor is fishing babies out of a basin, wraping them in newspaper and sellining them to women who put them in the shopping bags
Your right there but I don't watch tv very often but theres usually something to watch on Flimfour or Filfour weekly
its by jan svankmajer a famous czech animator. he has also done a remake of ALice in Wonderland, very fked up, very dark. i have taped 'Little Otik' but aint watched it as yet...check out his other stuff, really head mashing stuff.
This happens to be one of the funniest films I have seen before. Maybe I have a warped sense of humour, but this film had me in creases and up til 3am if I remember rightly ! Along the same lines of Little Shop of Horrors I laughed my cock off !!! This isnt the first film I seen by the creator, Svankmajer, he also directed Alice which is a take on Alice in Wonderland. It runs off from the story a fair bit however the main storyline can be grasped. If u like Little Otik, this will make u laugh just as hard. My fav character was the rabbit who was always leaking sawdust !!! in one word Svankmajer is NUTS !
