Something thats been bothering me...

...when you hand your account details n card details over the fone on online banking, whats to stop the person on the other end dipping in?

we're only allowed to type the customer details into the system...once we progress the order the details diappear & we can't c them again....if anyone is caught with customers bank/card details written down then the police are called & they do you for fraud & theft....this has been known!

sometimes the systems fuck up so we have to ask the customer for their details 3/4 times...it's a bit of a pain but u just explain it's for data protection & security & they're normally ok bout it.

At Northern Rock I used to be a Mortgage Advisor and seen all ppls details including famous ppl like Clare Sweeney, and more famous ppl can remember them all though.




Like Ruth said the details are entered then you cant see them, as said there is nothing stopping anyone writing them down but I more than sure someone would see you do this and well to be fair no one would have time to.

For places like Northern Rock etc checks of all kinds are run, even credit checks. To make sure ppl employed have a good background etc. I know things can be missed my all means.

I guess the staff have to be trustworthy. Hard to find at times I guess. Anyone that did get caught wouldn’t be worth living they would get took straight to the police..and dealt with from there.

At Northern Rock we were not even able to discuss what we done or who we have dealt with and signed an aggrement with regarding that...and if you were heard or even someone said they heard you then that would lead more than likely to the sack with sufficent evidance

So yeah it can be done but no one in the right mind would......IMO anycase.

Police were in every month nearly!! Doing people for fraud apparently.

Im not worried about people writing my details down, its people with these scanners that id be more worried about.

Me grandad used to have a scanner, picked up loads of phone calls.

AS said above depends on what you do and if you get caught obviously if you have a polive record trhen places like Northern Rock would look twice at employing you......common sense really

I would never use their details, its very easy to do tho!

not worth it...ppl get caught for it cos ur id is in the system as u placing the order....not worth losing your job & getting a criminal record from!
