    Sex offenders online register?

Someone just told me that in america you can do an online search for sex offenders in your street, neighbourhood, city etc. I decided to go and have a look and scarily there are 29 sex offenders just in our zip code over there and 3 of them live about 2 blocks away. I'm will now be terrified to let this baby leave the house when he's old enough!

There is always debate over wether sex offenders details should be made public or not, but can you imagine how something like that would work over here? Their full names and addresses there for anyone to get hold of. Is there actuallyu any way you can get hold of names and addresses like this in the uk? I dunno?

Do you think this would be a good thing for the uk or not?...discuss!

Heres the link by thre way showing the 3 pages of perverts that live in my area over there http://www3.fdle.state.fl.us/sexual...geBuffer=undefined&SPage=7372261&GeoOptions=0

Oh it says session expired when you click it...

go to the search page again and leave evrything blank apart from the country, which is broward, and the zip code which is 33021...if you want to see the kind of details they publish

and click on flyer next to the persons name to see what their crimes were

KNOWN and CONVICTED sex offenders SHOULD be named and shamed the sick fucks!

but instead - in this country they are protected and our money used to assist this......

    the mind boggles!!

What would you do about it though when you found out that there is a rapist living 3 doors away? If you do anything physically about it the law will crash down on your head and cost the taxpayer even more!

And if the statistic that there is a sex offender in every 8 streets of britain (or something like that) then your not going to be able to move far to be away from them are you?

So do you bolt up your doors and keep your family inside or do you act on getting the sex offender removed?

you have the right to KNOW about it tho - wud u let ur kids play outside if u KNEW there was convicted sick fucks living close by? No chance.

ppl shud have the right to know so they can be aware.

tbh tho they shud all be shipped off sumwhere and burned tho - but thats not gonna happen cos the fucked up country we live in seems to enjoy paying to help ppl like this.

    what a country

But like i said before...if the statistics are true then there are sex offenders in most streets. So does this mean a complete end to anyones kids playing in the street? They arent all child sex offenders either...so do we all stay at home?

Think of how much money your country will be paying out more on protecting people like this is they are constantly being called out to attacks on their homes, rehoming them time and time again. The only other option is to keep them away from society which costs even more.

I'm not saying i agree with either way...I havnt got a clue where i stand on this yet...it has freaked me out totally knowing that there are 29 sex offenders in a small area of our neighbourhood. My son when he is 11-12 is not going to be happy staying at home and playing scrabble with his mother. I'm not sure what I've gained from this info apart from mass paranoia for the future when my kids grow up.

One of my teachers who used 2 work at my middle school was a really big pervert... he used to send my friend flowers and he used to text me...(he asked for my number and me being a stupid 11 year old didnt think n e thing of it) he once asked me to meet him in a backlane at nighttime cuz he had a "suprise for me"...Katie told her mum about it...she rang my mum...took my phone in and he got fired on the spot but i do agree people shud know about this sort of thing cuz he cud do it to others

i see ur point about maybe it costs more to have the police constantly called out to help em when they being battered off ppl, but tbh, i think i wud rather pay more knowing they are suffering???

    *playing devils advocate*

So what if (god forbid) a member of your family was victim to one of these people and someone else in your family went round and murdered the bastard and got a life sentence?

Do you think in some ways the anonymity is there to protect the public and victims? I'm sure these people aren't just given their belonging at the door of the prison and told to have a nice life. There will be some sort fo probation service hopefully doing their job right?

    As an example......

The fact that if anyone harms someone who has been convicted of putting an 8 year old little girl through YEARS of TORTURE and SICK ABUSE and fucked her up for life - then THEY get locked up says it all really.

Our laws are shit - its all wrong!

I think its a bad idea in one aspect.

Yeah dont get me wrong I guess in a way its a good thing to know how close to home they are for you own safety and for your kids etc BUT imagine how it would work over here!

The sex offenders would not stnad a chance, they would get all sorts of things done to their house or even them!
