Only played the 'pre release' so far when it was released a while back- was over quicker than I'd hoped. I'll still be buying it this weekend though- it's an excellent game- didn't think they could better the first one but they def have!!

yeah what's the deal with X-Box live? How much extra do you pay? I'd love to play Halo 2 online - I've already played Burnout 3 online and that was class - I was playing some dude in Germany - forgot to ask my mate the ins and outs though.

you have to buy subscription it's about £50 a year(I think), but if you buy the headset you get the first year for free, so you don't have to start paying till the year after, you have to give them you card details to sign up tand I think they just take it off you every year.

£40 a year a i think or you can pay monthly too

Halo 2 comes with 3 free months tho but you really need a headset...

    Worth every penny.

Or, you can play online for free using Xlink evo VII.
Good one for if you're XBox is chipped with a big HD cos there's no detection at all- it's an independant server so they let you use copied games.
Can use PS2 & gamecube on there as well.
Don't see why people should have to pay £40 a year to microsoft when you can get it for free- Sony aren't charging for their online service.

In all fairness though £40 is sod all, and you get the kit with it.

PS2 don't offer this kit, and you also have to buy the network expansion kit, so either way you end up paying to play online.

I will certainly be subscribing to XBox live, it's good value for money considering what you get, and at the cost of a night out, few will quibble.

Out in the sticks cool as fukk gang! :)
just buy the pc one and avoid all these online costs. be better too anyway :p

i fuckin RULE at pc halo online and im willing to match up anyone who disagrees :p

im hearing that there were plans for online battles where pc gamers could play against xbox ones. wouldnt really be fair, cos you are naturally more accurate using a mouse / wasd setup, but im not complaining :p

    :D
