Can some of you give me a bit information about this place?, is it just a club thats been there for ages, done up?

The lineup looks unbelievable for the coming weeks.

The powerhouse was a gay club at the centre of life. Shindigs management have now bought the venue and plan to make it a dance music venue. It will have a funktion 1 sound system, which is meant to be amazing.

Ive always found Funktion 1 to be pretty poor .... and that was confirmed when I played on it! Id heard it was proper bo ... but its well flat and theres no punch to it at all. GAE is where its at Best system Ive ever heard!

Well I can't really comment, admittedly I've never heard hard house on it myself.

where did u play where they had a funktion 1 system there is only 4 places in the world got this ??

To be fair though - a system is only as good as the person that sets it up - if it isn't set up properly it could, on paper, be the best system in the world but if it hasn't been properly eq'd and set up specifically for the space it's being used in, it could still sound shite.

I'm sure the amount of money being spent on the club, it will be in digital.

For anyone that likes Drum & Bass, the valve sound system that Dillinja swear by is awesome! It had the place shaking like there was an earthquake!

Dillinja use it. I think theres a club down london with the full set fully configured etc. But at turbulence (dnb night held at Newcastle Uni about once per month) when Dillinja have been on they brought the valve soundsystem. it's the loudest dnb soundsystem there is.

The system has been bought from a club in Miami. Im sure they will ensure it is tweaked to perfection. Still, I would be very suprised (and happy) if they came anywhere close to Fabric room one soundsystem.

Sound is a very personell thing
the Funktion 1 system is very clear Crisp lots of top end
As hannah says the sub is a bit light for me
However it is a wicked system no denying it .

i hope the sound is better than their website
