    a very random thread i know!!!!!!!!!!!

    BUT

    how do you make the best yorshire puddings amd what os the best way to have them..............crispy/soggy???

    my mam buys aunt bessies yorkshire pudddings these days and cos im used to fresh ones, they ust dont appeal anymore!!

    chances are if youre making them for the first time theyll go all soggy n minging like my attempt, unless im just shit :( just buy aunt bessies they're lush and you know you can't make them wrong :lol:

    lol, my boyf only likes fresh yorkshire puddings, and i wanna suprise him with them one day lol......i kow the fat has to be really really hot cos thats why my attempt a few year ack went wrog.........ill keep reading up lol

    I love a nice crispy one with a softish base.

    Egg, flour and milk!!

    Make sure the baking tray has HOT oil in before adding the mix.

    Season with a bit of cabbage for greater taste.

    Make sure you put lard in the trays, not butter. They won't rise if you use butter. Also, put one more egg in than you think is necessary as this will make them big and fluffy

    thanks for all the tips, im gonn agive them a go one day..........not today though cos now i want yorkshire puddings and if they turned out neatable id be gutted.

    the hop bought ones are too crispy though:)

    Crispy on the top and soggyish and soft in the bottom and inside so that they soak up the gravy :drool:
