hasnt ground zero been totally 'cleared out' and is now just flat concrete again?

its a piece of history mate. people want to be part of it. its similar to the hoards of people that turned up in london and at althorpe to pay their respects to di. its life.

I agreed with G-Lee like when people were taking pic's etc. I would go myself and probs take a min if you know what I mean but pic's and videos are bit off!

I think most of it has. Think I remember seeing it like that on TV. Can't be sure tho. It won't all totally be gone tho. People in the area still can't get to their homes, offices etc.

is that not cos they were destroyed tho??

In the surrounding area I mean. They just got damaged.

No doubt, the news we are seeing will contain an amount of propaganda, US security will only tell the world what t wants it to know. I think people need to know exactly what happened! Whether they died due to the plane crashing or due to being shot down to protect the lives of others. I dont know what it was like to lose someone in the tragedy , but i imagine i would still prefer to know and i think i'd also understand the need for the plane to be brought down.

In any case, i definately feel for them. When it happened I was working when one of the girls in the office said a plane had hit one of the towers. I remember thinking it must have been one hell of a freak accident. Then she said another plane had hit the other tower, then the office fell silent. Even the telephones in the offices fell silent. I was wel eary !!

News came through of the third plane hitting the white house, when i was just setting off to go home. Get this ! It was the afternoon in Trafford Park, Manchester and the roads were dead. I saw about 14 cars on a 10 mile stretch of the M60 that should have been bumper to bumper.

I'm telling you man, it definately touch us (UK) !!


Let's hope that Sadam and his understudy, Bin Liner, both meet thier demise. Good or bad, the world's godda be a better place without them.

After all which idiot would steal 4 planes and crash them into buildings?

I was on at work (British Airways) on the phones at the call centre and i think you can imagine the day we had there! Phones went through the roof. We saw it live. in fact we knew about the first plane before the news did! We didnt know it was a passenger plane tho, thought it was some idiot in a piper or something!

Yeah. That's why security will b so tight tho.

I saw that too, properly booed my eyes out for the first time in ages It was ex-mayor Giulianni and his staff. Some of the footage was pretty terrifing. I remember I spent most of the next couple of days helping people I knew track their friends down. Not nice at all.

Yeah hit me bad too! And with William Orbit playing in background made it more upsetting I thought!
It made me realize that you really just don't know what is going to happen!
