The Wax:On DJ Competition will begin on Friday 13th October at Logic Bar, Newcastle.

There will be 6 heats and a final:
October, 13th, 20th, 27th,
November, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th (FINAL),

The winner will be taken to Glasgow on the 9th December to play Wax:On at The Arches. And 2nd place will play Wax:On 15th December at Digital

that is just what i was thinking been askin ppl in office and no one seems to no

its on argyle st, the road opposite foundation which leads up to the main road (not sure what its called, but leads on to byker bridge)

will find a map and post it.

we're doing it there as its a really good bar and they've got a great set up:

2 Technics 1210s
2 CDJ 1000 MKII
Pioneer DJM 1000

And a great soundsystem,

dan , how long do you get and is there screening of entries

not for me , but i know a coupleof people who be wanting to enter

im welcoming all applications but we are mainly looking for techno, electro, and breaks DJs,

there will be 4/5 people in each heat, you will get 30minutes, then the best 2 will be chosen to play another 30 minute set, the winners from each heat will go through to the final on the 24th November

Logic should be a great place to have the comp. Nice and intimate.

Even with that I woundn't let you win.................BUT a breaks version of For an Angel would be another story!
