I think the West Coast of Scotland ... Glasgow, Paisley, Greenock has pretty high figures for murders. I'm not too sure though.

Glasgow has always had problems but it was mostly inter racial battles in the past. I'm sure Shawlands 8 years ago had a string of massive flare...
