    20mph Speed Limits around Schools

It's a good idea, but the parents/pressure groups are making all this fuss over the fact that their kids are scared to walk to school because of the roads - what about the other 99% of their journey to school where speed limits are as normal

    Thoughts?

I have no problem with 20mph zones.

I couldn't handle being repsonsible for knocking over a kid.

too right - but that's what i mean - its not as if they are going to make 20mph the new national speed limit so a huge amount of others road that dont have a school on it will still be 30mph+

I hate it when lollypop ladies are in a place where they have proper crossings with the green men buttons, all they do is press the button , if a kid can't cross a road on a crossing, they shouldn't be going to school by themselves

It's the qty of kids around a school.

It's far more likely a kid or group of kids will run out from behind a car near a school.
