5 Mix album's everyone should own Started doing this then kinda wished I hadn't as I'm leaving so much that I love out, but here goes: 1- Coldcut (Journeys By DJ) - 70 minutes Of Madness. One of the most inspirational mixes you'll ever encounter and currently on a re-issue so you've no excuses. Something for everyone. A perfect DJ mix album - if only for the massive drop into Joanna Law & Martin Luther King, a real 4am tear jerker moment. 2 - Danny Rampling - Decade Of Dance. Reminds me of '99 the year of it's release and of so many past times. 2 cd's of pure house bomb's from a much under-rated (and currently missed) originator. 3 - A Night In The Life Of Todd Terry - Live At Hard Times. My baptism of fire into clubland courtesy of the guy they used to label as a Hard House DJ Live from legendary Leeds club Hard Times and full of pure Todd Terry power when he was at his prime! 4 - Danny Tenaglia - Athens Global Underground 010. House music at it's deepest darkest and sexiset. Pure filth and loving it 5 - Francois Kevorkian - Essential Mix. the teacher dishes out some education also wanna mention Goldie and Gilles Petersons mixes for INCredible, DJ Harvey - Late Night Sessions, Claudio Coccoluto for the Mixmag DJ series, Jon Sa Trincha's Ibiza mixmag mix and Doc Martin's new Sound's You Can Feel. Fill your boots!!
me aint heard any of the others me dont fink but i've got mr tenaglias global underground 10 n even though its not really me thing it is really really good. one to add to the list, clubbers guide to ibiza 99 mixed by the one and only julesy, ha ha sorry couldnt resist sqeezing that one in!!! in my little world its the best mix album eva anyways!!! xxx
Do actually have that one, the bit where he drops in Needin' U always brings a smile to my face. If you're into the judge Rach, you should try a find the mix he did for Journeys by DJ, think it was in 1994? A Classic, a mission for you when you're bored and got nowt to do
