i think the board has quietened down alot the last few weeks, some of the people who once came on and made positive, constructive posts have no been on lately. i still thinks that its a good baord tho. If u look at the Gods board (like you said), or the crasher board, they moan alot more than us. Although i know its a different thing, cos if we moan and call dj's shit its more or a problem, cos Promise is a smaller club then GC, and it could have a direct effect. but even tho we moan, its about Tiny little things, and we still keep on comming every friday
yeah i think some people see message boards as a way to moan and get things off their chests, fair enough if its a really good point or comment to make, but if its just something small and petty and totally off the subject then thats not what we want on this board. we need to remember the board is here for fun, communion and information....and good discussions... personally i love it, i keep checking it all day at work!! promise is about having fun and enjoying yourself, so the board should be.... lets keep it this way.
I think the difference between the promise board and other big boards is as Johnny says - we are a much smaller club and moaning does offend people... Not only the promoters I think I speak for everyone when I say that promise is our club... Unlike other clubs we actually feel like we have an input into the club. I think criticism is great the promise team need to know when they are doing things wrong - they wont always get everything right, they will make mistakes... but at the same time they need to know when they do something right (We can't forever whine)... But when soemthing isn't to your liking rather than just putting up "judge jules sucks" or "mauro bores me" put up your reasons why.... I think the post quality has gone down over the past few weeks as well... The site has gone very negative - we aren't a bunch of arrogant clubbers thats what I love about promise - I'm sure promise could book shania twain and we'd still have a wikkid time... As those fecking yanks would say PLUR baby PLUR! *finds a tree to hug*

Well said Mark. I agree about the " xxx DJ is sh*t " type of comment is not on. However, we all have our personal preferences and you aint gonna find anyone who likes EVERY DJ that appears at Promise. Some of us might moan about it, personally I dont like Picotto as a DJ, but I have never slagged him off, as I can appreciate that there is a lot of people out there that do like him. As for the board being a bit "moany" these days, well its the nature of msg boards, you are always gonna find that sort of thing, especially when its the same bunch of us on every day, we are just gonna be talking about the same everyday things that we would speak about face-to-face. Take a look at Crashers board, theres so much cr*p and moaning on there its untrue. This board is much better than that, and thats why we always come back to it!
Monkey but mark is saying he doesn't want this board to turn into another crasher board, your relatively new to the board so you never seen what it was like before... mark is just observing that lately it has turned very negative - it never used to be like this...
hmm, but, you see, ive recently joined this site, and i love the message board!im on all the time you see.as a new junia member, i feel comments such as "i think this DJ is SHHH****" have just been focused on too much, proabably sent on a sat/sunday rant, dont think too much of this, as it is only an opinion of a few people! i started a thread about summat everyone enjoys (hopefully!) its called Sex in Clubs. i hope this is the kind of lighthearted discussion topics that everyone likes, hense over 300 people have perused its pages.therefore, members of this site who feel the need to express these negative thoughts should have a seperate forum. Do you think this is a good idea?should call it "ranters corner"!loops x
