Bouncers - wtf???????????? Never had this happen 2 me b4 but my night was spoilt by one of the bouncers deciding to chuck me out. I was havin an amzing time and could not have felt better if id tried. But then i sat down for about a minute, and this bouncer comes along grabs me by the arm and escorts me off the premises. I ask him why and he says "you looked fucked". I can honestly say i wasnt bad at all, i was just in a really nice state having a fantastic time. No amount of arguing from me would persuade them to let me in. So that was the end of my night at 2:00.

Shame to hear that really but the bouncers in Promise are always great with me (well, most of them just take the piss if I am wearing my dummy!!!). Strange memory from last night, some total piss head was sitting on the seats beside the dance floor and when I walked past him grabbed my arm and said "You want fucking knocking out?" then he tried to stand up but was too pissed so he fell back to his seat....TWAT!!!!
I havent got anything bad to say about them cause theyre usually alright with me. Last time I fell asleep on the chairs he made sure I was ok and everything and just said watch yourself lol
Thats exactly my point really. There was nowt wrong with me and i get thrown out and other people can fall asleep or whatever and they stay in. Ive seen some right messes in there in my time and the bouncers just walk straight past them. Perhaps he was bored last night or maybe on commission?????? If i was lookin a bit dodgy then he could have come up and asked if i was ok or just said to me "sort yourself out or i might have to put you out". If he then got a sensible response he could have left me. Maybe im not the best judge but i didnt think i was particularly bad last night. I was probably gurning viciously (but then i always do that). I was totally awake and alert and cant understand it at all. Did anyone who seen me think i was in a state to be chucked out?

That's what the bouncers at Foundation (they aren't Promise bouncers!) are like tho. A few know the probs I had, and that was just cos one of the Shindig bouncers decided he didn't like my face*, but most of them are totally sweet! tis the only bad thing about it really *IMHO
Problem is bouncers have to act arogant otherwise they'll never get anyone to do anything. If a bouncer came up to a beerboy and tapped him on the shoulder and said "Excuse me sir, would you mind moving over there" he'd get laughed at. I've got a mate who's a bouncer and he says that basically unless you are arogant you get no respect at all. The Police use exactly the same method.
