i saw the trailer and got the demo. wasnt that impressed, however a demo is basicall a demo and i will be getting this, if i mow some towelheads down then its all good hoohaaa motherfuckers!
need to download this off steam in the near future. apparently its being reduced by 15 odd dollars at the start of december so i'll wait till then. looks like a treat tho. nice to see the COD squad making games set in modern times.
I've only played on the 10 man maps but it's spot on. no lag or anything. if you get a streak of kills, you get things like air support and air strike bonuses to call against your enemies which is pretty cool
Im gonna get Cod4 after i get Mass Effect completed. Ive got The Witcher to play through up to that point
this got a fantastic review in oxm360 - i wasnt keen on the other COD series games however, is this worth getting? i reckon i can stretch to 4 games in the xmas period, one will be pes2008, one will be assassins creed and i would be awfully disappointed if i bought this and it was just another 'on rails' COD game... the COD series seems to guide you by the hand, give you no options about how you approach a situation... this looks fantastic, but if it's more of the same -no thanks... so then, should i make this one of the games i get? halo 3 will probably be one - i enjoyed the rest of the series, but it could wait for something better...
As with most games now (halo 3 etc), the single player is good but it's the multiplayer that keeps you playing the game. The single player is over in about 5-6 hours but the multiplayer on live is spot on. Just make sure to play it on one of the hardest 2 difficulties, cos, like halo 3, easy and regular are nowhere near hard enough You get more options and many, many new types of game as you progress through the ranks so it becomes a separate game in itself.
just had a blast of me mates in hd avec 5.1, looks fantastic but i get bored as fuck with computer games, best game in the world wouldnt keep is occupied over a wkend when a could be out talking to real people and quaffing ale
Im up to the part when you are the sniper with another bloke. Really good mission. Stuck on the last part of it when your by the ferris wheel.
I've got forty quid to spend. I really need a new pair of trainers as my stan smiths are knackered. Is this game worth looking like a tramp for the next month?
The ferris wheel bit aint too bad if you get behind the steps to that shack on the far right hand side and snipe from there,.... watch out for people running to the right to get in that building cause you'll need to point your gun into the door your right and kill em. ... When the helicopters drop in re-inforcements, just point your gun where the rope hits the ground and kill them before they get a chance to do anything... ... Finally when your guys arrive, pick up your team-mate and just make a run for the back of the helicopter - you'll take a few hits but you'll get through ok.
absolutely mint game, just got it for the pc, amazing quality gone into this, the graphical quality and movement of the characters make it unreal. parts that stood out for me were when your following macmillan i think hes called through the woods and the light is bouncing off his camo, unreal. plus the sas missions are class. had it on 1920x1080 and full antialiasing and it was amazing, slight stutters in a ouple of instances but that will be down to my computer being crammed with porn and what not. edit: aint half short tho is it, finished it all in about 5 hours or so
Aye, was a bit disappointing but if you play it on the hardest levels it takes longer to complete... Get most achievements for playing on the harder levels too Online is good crack- like the levelling system and the amount of unlockables, keeps it interesting
