I've said elsewhere i'm gutted for him. Was an utterly fantastic tackle never needed to be made but he made it anyway and won the ball. He could have let Fabregas go but he tracked him back and made a class challenge. He's played in all their big games this year and as much as people make fun of him i bet most wish they had him playing for their side as he's a very very good player and would walk into most other sides in the Premiership bar possibly Liverpool & Chelsea's midfield? I know if i supported a premier club i'd love him to be playing for my team.
Because the referral system is just something in place in England by our leagues. The only thing you can contest in Europe by UEFA laws is misidentity. He would have probs started Pike, He's started every other big game they have played this year.
