does every1 really want promise2 becum a big/superclub?

i like it the way it is now cuz it gets the best djs in trance/prog already n if it gets reaaally big then i think it mite spoil sum of it...i think itl b best if it grows to the size of say passion or a club like that?which gets a crowd of regulars but isnt giant like crasha which tends 2 av a harsh attitude!

i totally agree with u, i would'nt like to see promise change too much it is really good now, i think if it got to big it would not be as good as it is now.

Personally I wouldn't, but only because you then get a lot of 'tourists' who aren't really into clubbing, just go because they think they should. Depends how you define a super club really.

I think superclubs are now a thing of the past. The likes of Gatecrasher rarely get the large 'round the block' queues that they had on a weekly basis about 2 or 3 years ago. It seems to me that there are a lot more smaller club nights around these days. I think that's why Gatecrasher and co. are running the huge arena venues and summer festivals nowadays, a way of making big cash because they aren't getting enough profit from the club dooors.

Whats wrong with growing?

I know a lot of the people who say keep it local see clubs as gatecrasher and sundissential as better night clubs... promise isn't your local poub - its a club... Although its nice to feel part of the community and part of the club theres no harm in feeling part of a larger company.

I'd love ti to grow to a sundissential/slinky size... Get the nationwide recognition it deserves.

Surely if someone is coming to promise because they've heard its a good club then they're nto a tourisat they're the same as you and me.

I hate cliques... thats why I loive promise - I don't belong to one circle of friends I know loads of people and the people I don't know I feel like I know.. I stroll from random to random knowing that I'm not going to be shunned cos I'm not dressed right or not cool enough.

The fact we all feel part of promise is because its a very open and friendly club - this doesn't mean only your mates can go

but if it becomes a superclub dont really bother me, am assumin it will just have the same djs really. n aslong as they r gud will continue to go. size of the club dosnt mater, more the quality of music it plays.

Promise is a great night out and it doesn't matter if its a huge "superclub" or not.
I once went up to a party in the middle of nowhere near Otterburn. There were 2 barns with decks set up, a bus selling magic mushroom tea and a load ov people dancing their tits off......loving it! At the end of it I couldn't believe I'd been in a barn in the middle of a forest all night....I'd had a great night.

What I'm trying to say is, it doesn't matter where you are or which venue you're at, as long as you enjoy yourself. Anyway, why would you want Promise to change at all? You always have a wkd night, the people are great and the atmosphere is always fantastic........if it ain't broke, don't try and fix it!

Anyway, you'd just have to queue longer and wouldn't have as much space on the dancefloor to do your funky thang!

promise as a nite though is good but foundation is just soooo borin as a club...fair enough it looks cool but compared with other venues its pretty pants in my opinion

a truly good nite deserves a proper good venue and then i think promise would probably grow even further in status
