What to do people reckon about Britain & its Eu membership. Should we be all in like France, Germany, Ireland, Greece etc, hover on the sidelines like Czech, Sweden & Bulgaria, arms length like Norway & Switzerland or pull out all together.

we should be in it influencing policy

just been watching a programme on this and the reason cameron wants to veto is because he is trying to protect his rich banker mates who cough up 50% to the tory party coffers

when in fact a tax on the big banks would raise 20 billion and help stabilize the euro zone

all this rhetoric about public sector pensions bringing the country to its knees is tosh too

there is a report by lord hutton which actually has shown that pensions in the public sector will decline in their overall impact on the economy in many years time

    THE CONDEMS are utter tossers!!!!!!!!

pissing around with trying to give towns mayors they dont need or want ffs

clegg is the biggest hypocrite on the face of the earth and cameron doesnt know what a real days work is

how can we respect a pm who blatently took coke but wont admnit to it thats like rodal lifting the cdjs and telling everyone he didnt

also camerons wife used to hang out with the drum and base crowd in bristol nuff said really lol

mind you ed milliband is not much better first labour leader to choose not to address the miners march in durham what a wanker

he is a poor mans wallace from wallace and gromitt lookalike

come back big david milliband all is forgiven

Im quite impressed with Cameron turning up and rejecting the changes to the treaty, in the face of massive pressure.

Why the hell should we forge further ties with what is fundamentally a doomed agreement - Considering the absolute mess we are in (3rd highest debt to gdp ratio in the world after GREECE and PORTUGAL!) then getting in bed with the Euro, which arguably played a massive part in fucking over all these smaller countries ... makes no sense.

but cameron is the master of spin everything he does is for a soundbite or to garner popularity with the rightwing element of his party

we can still be influencing policy without signing up to a dodgey treaty

surely the question spence asked is should we be in the EU influencing , aye???

I say yes , lets not let the german and french dominate europe financially

the germans are obsessed with running europe they couldnt do it with two world war wars so they will try and bend us to thrri will in the euro dodgey krauts and the french you cant trust them bunch of collaborators pre and post war

and dont get me started about italy they couldnt even work out whos side to fight on in the war

my advice get rid of your credit card debt and dont buy what you cant afford

and stop looking top the state for help. get your head down and make your own luck

We are part of Europe - geographically, culturally, historically. The Tories (and Labour) think we are the 51st state of the USA and are forever grovelling and fawning over the Americans who use us as convenient idiots and kick us in the teeth at every opportunity. I for one would like to see a United States of Europe, providing always that it was a functioning democracy and not run by unelected Commissioners and the politicians making back room deals. It would be possible to get there but not while the UK maintains it's fear of Europe. We were described by the French as being like someone who wants to go to a wife swapping party but doesn't want to bring his wife.

I can't see the Euro surviving much past xmas.

Im surprised you would be willing to march forward with losing your sovereignty in increasingly large chunks.

These crisises are nothing but a prime opportunity to push us ever closer towards more consolidation of power away from the actual people (if you even believe in that).

Fundamentally i really dont understand how a single currency that caused the problem in the first place, and exacerbated it when it all went wrong, is actually the SOLUTION to our problems?

We have our own house to clean first, and control over our own currency is one of the only tools we actually have to sort it out - Just HOW are we going to get ourselves out of this shit with a single monetary policy?

This is a bit of T-Fish question - If we do get booted out of the EU what would happen to all the European immigrants in the UK?

Thats the fucking D-REEM baby but I cant see them leaving

You ever had wood worm? You have to remove the fucking joist in the end... little fuckers bury deep in they know what is good.

The only way we would get rid of the parasites is if a far right party came to power and thats never going to happen.

You stuck with them I am afraid.

My advice buy a nose peg.

Was the sticking point the City Of London paying 0.05% a transaction? Is that what "British interests" were classed as.

We are the dumping ground for all immigrants in Europe, they know that.

Italy had thousands of African Immigrants in camps... just being held. They wanted rid of them but couldn’t deport them.

So what did they do? Absolute Genius to be honest..... They decided to grant a amnesty and grant every single Illegal Immigrant in the country ITALIAN CITZENSHIP. They knew the very next day these new Italians (Europeans) would up sticks and head in their DROVES to the land of Milk and Honey. ENGLAND.

The italians did this and they were right, nearly every single one then headed to the UK (who now couldnt refuse them as EU nationals) and they are now here amongs us.

The rubbish bin of italy! whatever next

Lets rebuild Hadrians wall and keep the fucking Scots out and Offas dyke and keep the fucking Welsh out and blow up the channel tunnel and the ferries, close Heathrow sit here on our own eating turnips and Morris dancing. That'll show the rest of the world. And the only way anybody gets out is to join the army and go fight another of America's wars.
