    Foundation Radio?!?

Just had a total brainwave in the shower. Just got thinking about the fact that I have to go to Leeds to do my radio show when I'd rather be doing it up here for Newcastle as the city has no real radio output for it's dance community. Ice FM used to do some wicked stuff but got screwed over by Galaxy when the licences came up.

We could set up FoundationRadio.com or something using the club as a base and broadcasting Tue/Wed/Thurs nights when people are most likely to be able to listen and have club shows from Promise/Shindig/Stonelove etc. as well as ones fronted by local DJ's like Kerry James or Skev etc. It could also act as a base for local hopefulls and an opportunity for DJ's and Artists to get their music out into the world.

fuck me, me headz buzzing now

True, but's its a damn sight easier online than on air - plus you can make shed loads in advertising and sponsorship. MOS Radio is a million pound money spinner (horrible example I know but you get the picture)

Joe you muppet, it's internet radio. All you need is a computer and phone line - which you being the moderator you apparently have, or do you post via transendental thought processes?

Exactly, there's so much untapped talent up here that people know so little about. I could be here all day, Allister Colling records for Central Park, Streetlife Originals records for Naked and Paper Recordings, Anton Feilding does stuff for Forensic and Paper.... the list is endless yet so few people know about it!

Then with club support and people like Global Underground, the station could bring in hard hitters to boost it's profile - a good thing for all...
