Gas and Electric (Urban Merlin you should know this)

When moving in to a property how do gas/electric companies decide what your DD payment will be without knowing how much you're gonna use?

I want to be on DD from the off none of this quartely banter

Based on how many are living in the house, it gets reviewed.

The water mob always make a rip roaring cunt of it.

    i dont think so

when you change im sure someone comes round and reads them if not make a note of the meter readings when you move in then wen you ring up etc give them the readinsg they will go from there

may be worth asking the previous tenants who there with and how much they pay

they set it to around the national average to start with - about £40 per month - the after the first meter reading which will probs be quarterly they will be able to see how much power you are using so if the payment needs altering they will do it for you then!

npower give all MDD customers £50 a year :D ;)
