Is this due to lack of public interest or something else?

yeah i heard this rumour a while back from a source online that they were thinking about making it monthly because of lack of numbers, i think maybe its cos the novelty has sort of worn off!!!
i know it sounds harsh but its possible.

A bit like how Manchester United wins everything one too many times and everyone (apart from their loyal supporters) id fed up with them now!!!! - that sort of thing.

I think that it would probably be because the weekly Saturday nights are down, last time I went it was about 1/2 full.

They seem to do much better these days on the big events, and I'm sure that they are more likely to concentrate on these in the future.

As for Saturdays at the republic, does this mean that 3 saturdays a month are now available to promoters ??

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...................... click.....whirr.... cogs turning.............. I feel an *idea* coming ..........

ive heard they were going to go monthly and concentrate on the big events too.

Think they are going to book big names etc for they monthly events at the republic to ensure a big turn out, i think these monthly events will be good look at how excited people get for sunidessential north.

That is bad news for everyone in clubland really!, if a club like that has to revert to a monthly event to get numbers up....

mind u the reports ive had of the big nights where it is far too hot too busy, people i know have been put off going and prefered the quieter nights ....
will it not be to busy on there nights now .....

Problem is - you cant expect 15,000 clubbers to attend your event at the NEC *AND* get 3000 regulars in the republic each Sat.....

When tickets to an event like that cost £40 + travel + food + accomodation............. its no wonder that people cant afford to do a normal Sat the week before !

If they keep doing the big, expensive events, something has to suffer, and in this case its Saturdays at Republic !
