Sonique is both ugly and bad!!

Has anyone else seen her live, or heard her "Live Vocal Mixing"
damn!! Went to Serious@Newcastle Uni for Love Weekend thingy, and she came on before Matt Hardwick (think John Kelly did set b4) and we had to leave for a couple of hrs due to her what can only be described as inccessant wailing and screeching!! Then to make things worse, she carried on makin noise when Matt Hardwick was on. I swear he didnt look happy and looked towards an empty beer bottle!

I dont think the tunes she was mixing were that bad, but will someone shut her up!!
I swear I wasnt far from doin it myself!!
Just been listenin to Jules live @ Slinky 2001, and Darude-Sandstorm comes on, ok not everyone favorite song, but i like it, it was different, and was just gettin into reminise mode, when she comes on to "sing", nearly threw my computer out the window!!

yeah i thought exactly the same at newcastle uni. Theres no need to wail over the top fo some awesome tunes......

Ive seen sonique a couple of times and every time ive went into another room! she plays some alright tunes but i cant stand her shouting over them! never ever book her promise!

oh and when she plays at cream i will be in the other room till her set finishes!

Tis true - She said so in one of her interviews that she was happy just DJing, but Jules said "no, you must sing also."

On some of the CDs it works at times, but rarely. I saw her at Tall Trees for the Love Parade after party (yet there would've had to be a Love Parade to have an after party ) and she came on before Jules. The choons were mint and she created an atmosphere but the singing definitely spoiled it. Jules was shocking that night n all. He played a really bad set and there was people goin for autographs off him n he just stuck the Vs up at them!! Shocking! Kelly was the best on the night - hope our lass lets me out on Friday!!!!

yeh he did have sonique doing sum, shall we say wierd shouting over the top of his set @ qontact last year.... but i think it went down well over the end of strange world!!

Well I ain't seen Sonique live and from what I've heard on this thread I ain't to keen now! As One Eyed DJ said though - one of her albums her vocals on top do go well but just a few tunes!

Seriously he did, I saw it with my own eye. The one on the right.

Maybe he was stressed -he would've been playin all over the North East that night- but he never connected with the crowd n I was disappointed cos it was the first time I saw him.

Ive since seen him n he was ok n the stuff u read about him's usually good stuff, but I didn't approve of that night!

Is Serious Jules' label or what cos Sonique's work is on that a lot, as is his wife out of Angelic which would explain wholly and fully why him and Sonique do loadsa sets together.

1 more thing- you dont leap to Judge's rescue constantly just cos u fancy him do you Rachel?!?! He's got a fit wife and a kid, don't think any other women stand a lot of chance right now.... I proper loved Jules when I was 15/16 (not sexually u understand!! Im straight...) cos I look young n cudnt get into pubs/clubs so I'd stop in n listen to him n Pete Tong on radio 1 but u cant let that get in the way of your criticisms. In other words, love is blind Rachel.
