Its a good hobby for spotty teenagers who dont have girlfriends.

It's either get into Football or become a geeky bedroom DJ innit.

As long as it keeps you out of crime I dont see a problem with it.

I do find it odd when people can list a whole set that a DJ has played. I'm lucky if I can remember one or two tunes (even when they are all tunes I know)! Usually too busy talking/dancing to actually try to remember what was on.

each to their own:rolleyes:... i think that if u r passionate about something, then u ll become an anorak to some extent in it... if u have a passion in something, be it sport, music etc. then good... if not whats the point of living???

Doggie you know your shit, that ok. Its just ppl that religiously memorise of tunes\track lists to impress that's a bit Eastenders.

now a dj has an excuse for tune spottin! he/she needs to know wot that tune is so they can by it if they like it? but if u only go clubbin an only listen an dance to the music, wot does it matter what the tune is called?,

findin out the names ov a few tunes that u really like is fine, wot i mean by sad, is all those people that know EVERY tune but dont dj. there is other exceptions too, like dj's g/f's!!!!

    :D :D :D :D :p :p

Do you not think tune spotting is natural? tune spotting is learning by association, it trains ur brain to recover information by audio stimulation. To what extent you do it and whether this cool or not is open to conjecture. However if you really like a song ur bound to want to know whats its called, then you hear in a club you know what its called somebody doesn't, you tell 'em. Personally i don't know where i'd be without the tune spotters at promise, and give a big thumbs up, for their free of charge (in some cases) informaton service. Maybe it coul become a salaried job in its own right??

Tune spotting as in knowing what tune is what is only to be expected from people who are into their music. It's when people remember entire set lists that I find it a bit odd!
