"It's getting better nowwwwwwww" http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/7876467.stm Unwell Kinnear taken to hospital Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear has been taken to hospital as a "precautionary measure" after feeling unwell, the club have said. More to follow. *NO COMMENT*
I'm at work mate not doing keyhole surgery on the old cunt N'Zogbia has probably done a Alexander Litvinenko on him
ideal world = kinnear out, wise to follow, steve bruce in NUFC world = kinnear will be fine, dennis wise contract extention, championship football
keep him in dont let him. he will be at st josephs mental asylum by morro morning ha ha i can see it now, news of the world, KINNEAR DIAGNOSED WITH F****N TURETTES
Why? Bruce has done wonders at Wigan. You can't take the piss out of a manager who sits comfortably out of the relegation battle when you look at the shit your in. He's at least 3 times the manager Kinnear is. Also look at some of the signings he's made at Wigan like Valencia and Palacios before he sold him. I don't see any Newcastle manager making signings like that over recent years. Your not a big club any more and it's managers like Bruce, Brown etc that would be good for your club to stabilise you. Your deluded if you think your going to get some top class manager when the clubs been gradually going to shit for 5-6 years.
na mate, i think he is a quality boss, he has done a lot with little money as well in his time at wigan
I'm not saying we should have anyone bigger/better, the club's such a joke that Kinnear is probably the right level for us. I just think Bruce is a cunt, that's all.
He is a cunt but hes a geordie cunt and would do brilliantly for yous, the same as shearers a geordie cunt but done the business
this bloke may be a mackem, but he speaks sense To be honest, the manager's job at SJP has been a poisoned chalice ever since fat freddy sacked Bobby Robson. The only people we're ever going to get as a manager now are chancers, and opportunists. Sam Allardyce did it because he felt he was ready to move to a bigger club and felt he was up to the job. He's probably the only exception to the above. After the way Keegan was treated, it was plain to all that the manager wasn't calling all the shots - who would want to put themselves in his shoes by wanting that kind of job? If anything, it's showed that Ashley is just as trigger happy as Shepherd when it comes to managers, and that isn't good for stability. Bruce is comfortable where he is. He has the backing of his board, fans who are behind him, and he has a setup he knows and understands. He'd be stupid to leave that. Kinnear is a chancer. He's seen as a write-off by everyone else, someone who used to be alright but has passed his sell by date. He has nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Sadly for us he's not up to the job. He'd probably be OK as a caretaker manager, or an assistant or coach, but not as the guy at the helm. This is the best we're going to get unless there's a serious change of tack at SJP - either until Ashley sells or publicly declares his plans for the club. He needs to stop being the terrace beer boy and bring this club some stability, which is what it needs more than anything. I still can't see it happening. I ignored Insomnia's comments as a load of bull (he blatantly believed his own hype), however Given's criticism of the club is worrying and telling. When someone who has been loyal to the club for so long wants to leave, that tells you something is seriously wrong.
Bruce is a good manager now, he made some mistakes in his early managerial career but he's come back much stronger from them. The likelyhood of him joing Newcastle is slim to none. Like all the comments above the days of managers seein Newcastle as a big club where they have access to millions in each transfer window and it being a great managerial opportunity are long gone, we need to stabilise the club over a couple of seasons and start again. Kinnear isn't the man for the job but who else will take it at the moment. Ashley has roylally fucked things up with his handling of the Keegan affair, it's gonna take a long time to get the club in a position anywhere near what the fans always expect. The fans should see a mid table finish as a good season, i'm saying this with the highest optimism
i agree with all the above but Bruce has been quoted in saying he wants to manage newcastle at one point - im sure this was rather recently too.
