Judge Jules - the man - the music...

    hes playing on friday.....

hes a massive DJ, what do u think about him? (constructive stuff, no "hes a cunt" comments again)....

any1 seen him recently? how did he play?

i have to say, when ive seen him, sometimes hes been good, sometimes not so good.
Last time was @ Cream, Blackpool, and thanks the lord he played. Every1 else was utter toss, and jules saved the day by playing a very good set, nice and hard, Suburban train (Cosmic gate mix) etc.....he didnt dick around, just played a blinding set.

im not goin, but wouldnt mind goin...

    will it be busy?

does the "beer Boy" crowd follow him still?

The past few times i heard him hes getting really good agian due to the turn of the summer coming i expect. But ive always looked at the judge not as a dj but as a IKON hes good performer on stage, good to look at in a crowd (not as if to say hes lush) but to say wow thats judge jules. He is still one of the mojor representatives for british music and dance music in general.
The judge has only dissapointed me once thats when he stormed off the stage at gatecrasher sss 2000 because they were playing the england-germany game on the big screen behind him. After that all the time ive seen him hes been very good, even at Godzkitchen at the arena he was wicked and also last year at foundation live on radio 1 he was outstanding.

Put it this way he always suprises me and just cause of his attitude people reject him.

me seen him at judgement sunday and he was mint i know im bound to say that cos im 4ever singin his praises but he seriously was very good. hes playing quite hard at the moment and seems to be putting the whole trancey thing on the sidelines but thats just from what he's bin like on his shows the pasty couple of weeks n what he was like at JS but wiv him bin on 4 three hours me finks we'll get a bit of everythink!!! oh i hope so much that he plays a really good set cos when he's at his best the man is amazing!! god i am so excited!! xxxx
.....and as for his so called 'attitude' me finks that is so just a case of people picking him 2 pieces he has the best ability of any dj to get the crowd goin wiv all his little gestures n things i know a lot of ppl hate that but its all part of him n his sets n its soo much more entertaining than watching the likes of (and no i'm not slating his djing abilities im just making a point...) digweed or sasha or sumone if you know what i mean....
what are the set times by the way, sorry if im bin thick n that they've already bin announced but me aint bin on here in a while so me aint seen them if they're on here!! xxxxx

Jules has over the last year really sorted himself out. He now plays a lot harder than he used to which is exactly wot was needed!

I think he will love Promise and revel in the atmosphere so im really looking foward to friday.

Bet ya he plays dj's fans and freaks and that fuckt camera! YEAH BABY!

ive seen him tons of times and to be honest ive heard him play as many crap sets as i have good....used to think he was the bee's knees when i first got into clubbin but as his style changed to a sort of weird almost wannabe picotto sound i went off him...

...if the bloke played trance like he used to then he would be huge...i mean he used to play almost every saturday at crasher but he's almost no where to be seen now!

however, he was without a doubt the reason why the first GC red n black nite was mint....hardwick and bond who i rate much higher than jules just didnt compare!

BRING BACK THE JULES FROM 99':D

sayin that though i would deffo be there on fri if i had the dosh like cos u are always guarenteed one or two good tunes from him!

if u listen to jules sets from around early last year you'll hear the pap he was playin had a similar watered down, sound to some of the stuff picotto plays...infact jules was meant to team up wif picotto to produce some tunes but nofin happened cept for 'hi-gate' mixin 'like this like that'!

i meant jules played tunes that were like watered down 'wannabe' versions of the stuff that picotto played...

...he once said he like nothing better than repetative tunes wif annoying noises in...

    ...see what i mean?

Ive got exactly the same feelins for Jules as Sloppy like - i used to think the bloke could do no wrong - even taped his fornightly broadcasts on Radio 1 for about half a year and at the time he seemed like an unreal DJ - dont get me wronghe has done shit loads for music and where it is now and the bloke can be an awesome DJ - the Red n Black on boxin day was fuckin unreal and i doubt i will hear a better set from the bloke - this week tho i shall not be in attendance as when the Judge turns up the crowd changes and will make the night probably different to that of when Matty H / Halliwell is behind them decks - i hope for them that go he is good coz he's hot n cold is Julius like :p

Anyways as for the "BRING BACK THE JULES OF 99" id say that should classed for a few in:

    Pete Tong
    Paul Oakenfold
    Seb Fontaine

Ive a heard and got a few sets from like Creamfields etc and then we all know the trance was unreal - to me wont be beaten - the DJ's named above played some awesome sets then like shame they cant match them now :(

last times ive heard him its been technoie, but even tiesto last at crasher played Picotto Awersome and a really hard set alike what the judge is doin.

He can mix, it just depends what type of image hes tryin to give off at the time to whether u get the tunes u want to here or not.

suppose alot of peeps should be grateful toohim as when u speak to peeps hes often the person that has transformed them into clubbin.
