laughing stock of the prem last year, flavour of the championship this.. widly considered to be damaged goods when you bought him he couldnbt even run up and down a pitch for 90 mins in the big league i bet he would be even better in the nissan social league
Awful footballer does two things stands in front of the keeper at corner kicks & swings the big swinger. I would sell him for big £££'s in Jan if Bolton come back in for him or Brown at Hull makes a move for him. I would then see what the crack is with the Turk at Stoke who I reckon Stoke may sell in Jan.
no one will come in for him scouts for even shit clubs know what they are looking at daft geordie mugs dont
Kevin Nolan is probably one of the main reasons why I'm actually quite worried about getting promoted. It's looking increasingly likely that we will, but I've seen Newcastle United hit the self destruct button far too many times in the past to take anything for granted. If we're relying on Kevin Nolan as our main supply of goals, then where does that leave us if we do get promoted? He's way off the pace of the Premier League. We've got the best defence in the Championship, yet it's 3/4 of the same defence that were an absolute shambles last year. Top it all off with a club director who's shown in the past just how much he loves to splash the cash, and you've got a season much much worse than our last one up there. Everything is all well and good at the minute; it's nice to see the team winning week in, week out, the younger players getting a chance and the team pulling together. I'm enjoying it as much as the next man and not dreading watching the games for the first time in years. But with the way we're going you can't help but look 8-10 months down the line and let the negatve feelings creep back in.
We were far from good, but to say we walked away with 3 points against a team thats only been beat 4 times at home this season is something I think we should be grateful for. Harewood needs to go in January too.
This If we get promoted, and thats still a big if, where are the players who keep us up going to come from? Being totally generous about it there's maybe 3 or 4 in the whole of our squad who might actually be alright in the prem, and they were all part of the team who were relegated last year- I worry about the midfield more than anything else, don't think that the defence is notably bad, caroll actually looks like he might be quite good up front but the midfield we have now is pretty much the same one which got us relegated last season by doing very little apart from standing still passing the ball sideways or backwards very very slowly, and I can't see that they have added much to their reptoire in the meantime
