I am gonna get totally slated here but so fuck eh?

I am totally out of the loop with T, probably one of the reasons why i sold me setup cos i found i went from being too far ahead at one point n knowing everything n having every tune to being so far behind.

Anyways is it just me or does Le Saux not get promos?

I was thinking the same thing tbh, ive got half the tracks in that set and i last bought a trance track approaching 2 and a half years ago.

When its the odd old track dropped then fair enough, Le Saux always seems to hammer the old anthems though whenever i see his play lists its more old stuff than new.

He's the most upfront trance dj at the minute man, his top 20 tunes show is by far the best trance show there is.Its only really when he does guest mixes for radio stations for hours on end that he throws all the classics in, he will be mint at neuroscience. :)

its not all about being upfront and playing all the latest tracks imo

as a dj id rather be scrutinised for playing good music > all the latest tracks

    aye.
Oooh, havent we hit a nerve?

I know what yous are saying and agree to an extent, good music IS good music regardless of release date.

Just as important for me though is a DJ being fresh in what they are playing, theres nothing better than going to a club and being blown away by brand new music you have never heard before and going home trying to track down the music you heard on the night. If i go to see someone like Nic Fanciulli now i am guaranteed this every time i see him play and there is stupid amounts of amazing music being released on a weekly basis, which is why i am so into what im into at the moment.

I used to go to trance nights though and could name at one point more or less every track that would be played, and with some DJ's you could go out and predict what tracks they would play beforehand and get 90% of them right.

I have never heard Manuel Le Saux play though if someone asked me to name some of the tracks he would have played in this set i could have guessed around 25% of them, as theyre the same classics he has played time and time again when ive looked through his tracklists when mixes are put on here.

Ill put my tin hat on as realise hes the new 'darling' of the trance scene, though thats just an observation from reading his t/l's etc on here. :)

Le Saux can be a bit of an unknown quantity when it comes to his set structures. Admittedly this 8 hour set's he done does contain quite a fair few tunes from the past year or so however on his weekly radio shows he continually plays new tracks for the full two hours. I don't know whether he's just not used to or comfortable with slotting them straight into a set when playing out live?!?

When reading the reviews of when he played D.S. in April here some people say he was absolutely unreal and say some he played old tunes but was still good?!?!! Maybe he's not too sure as to how clued up we are about tunes etc. and just goes with the safer options of tried and tested older tunes!!!
