    Matrix Reloaded

Saw it lastnight with MOS. Doesn't let up with the action from beginning to end. The fight scenes are phenominally complexed. I'm suprised it didn't take 5 years to film. The storyline is OK to follow.
The end, well,,,,,,, hmm.......just wait and see.
    AND
A trailer for the third one after the credits. Looks like some more of the same.
Oh, and just to make this thread pertinent to the board...
There's a canny tune played while Neo is nobbin Trinity.

the more and more i've thought about it - the more i understand it now! gotta be a proper 'matrix geek' to get it fully. or maybe seeing it for a 2nd time will make it clearer...

    still fcuking awesome like.

tried 'enter the matrix' last night for the Ps2, the backup boots fine, mint game - the bullet time thing is class!

Akkk this always annoys me how The Matrix supposedly pioneered the "bullet time" technique.

In fact this technique was first created back in the early 1990's, long before The Matrix was released in 1999. The propper name for the technique is Dead Time (or the Muybridge Effect), and there are various ways of doing it (some more complex than others).

I think that the first time a form of this technique was seen in a feature film was Batman & Robin (the visual effects were completed by the now closed down Warner Digital). Still a good few years before The Matrix.

I'm not saying The Matrix isn't cool, but the media seem to have attached the creation of this technique to the film, which is very inaccurate. The producers of the film may have popularised Dead Time but they certainly didn't create it.

    Rant over. :p

Hope that made you feel better.
    BUT
To defend the Matrix (in an equally uncalled for manner), they never claimed to have created "Dead Time", only "Bullet Time" which may look similar in it's effect.
    Ahh
I love to join in with things that I know nowt about.

Bullet Time is another name for the Dead Time technique. The terms was coined Bullet Time by The Matrix producers because of the way in which it was used in the film. The underlying principles are the same.

    God I'm sad aren't I!?!
