    "Miami Winter Music Conference"

Whats this bollocks they have each year?

Conference my arse - sounds like an excuse for a load of overpaid dj's to milk punters for huge amounts of cash while they wait for Ibiza (so they can repeat this) whilst working on their tans and boning groupies?

Surely a real conference would have DJ's, Promoters and Clubbers sitting in a school hall eating rich tea biscuits and tea while guest speakers discussed this years BPM ranges and Synth Sounds. :D

    Self indulgent tosh imho.

    Anyone disagree/agree?

    Totally disagree!!

have you seen the line ups?!?! Huge variation in musical styles.

    Looks asolutley mint imo.

It's called a conference cos its all about new music etc etc....there are press conferences :D

If I could afford it I would be there.

You can argue that most big DJ's are overpaid to be fair!

How is it self indulgent? If it was such bollocks it wouldnt be the biggest annual event of its type:lol:

It used to be somewhere to go to promote new tunes and to find thos big ones. But now thanks to mp3 and cd burners most people have these tunes already... now its more about the parties and "networking"

I've never been, but to the best of my knowledge, there's a lot of stuff goes on behind the scenes of the over-hyped over-commercialised Radio1 etc parties

I'd love to be there knowing that all of the top Dj's are going to be there and you'll be seeing class sets... would cost a load of £$£ to go over there! :(

People still hold their stuff back to 'break' it at miami tho. Passing round a bunch of CDRs or MP3s will only get you so much recognition. Being the tune of Miami200X will (almost) guarantee you international celebrity.

Must be a DJs dream - a whole week of just parties. There probably are some people who work really hard over there but for most people it just seems like a holiday
