    Movies you may have missed!

When ever these threads pop up of movies there's always 1 or 2 you may not of heard of - and peoples taste often incluced movies that you might not expect people to like or just may have simply slipped thru the net.

So, here's you chance to educate the board - Post 1 Favourite Movie of yours, that people may not have seen and give it's reasons why it's special - whether it was because u saw it at a cructial time in your life or because you saw it with friends you no longer see or special in some other way - share it with the board!

    Mine is Fandango
Staring Kevin Costner and Judd Nelson

i love movies about Vietnam, and this isn't a war moive but it's about 'the draft'. a close group of mates called "the Grovers" finish 'college' in '71 in the US - if they don't pass - they get drafted to Vietnam - so they decide to go on one last road trip to dig up their old friend 'dom' - classic road trip movie, not a out and out comedy but fairly serious. just caught it on TV once years ago - never seen it since - but i loved it. Always made me want to go on a road trip, find these weird places in the middle of america. At one point, they're in the middle of a desert, next to a plaque near a single rail line, miles from nowhere and the plaque is dedicate to where general custer fell. Just always made me want to fly to new york, buy a cheap car then spent months driving to the west coast. i must have been 15 when i saw it.

it's a classic - very funny in parts and very touching and sad. i'd recommend it

the one i would have said was a room for romeo brass but a few people on here know about it.

found it in a cheapy bin at global video in guisborough about 6 years ago and bought it cos it looked funny... its hilarious yet very dark in places and each character portrayed has many sides, and you dont know whether to pity or hate morrell throughout the story.

    well worth a watch.

they live is also highly recommended for its cheesy b-movieness and awesome one-liners

I'd say the Boiler Room, as i'd never heard of it before seeing it, and haven't heard anyone talk about it. Would recommend it though.

he is evil, but the story hints at a bad childhood so there is an element of pity... i love the scene at the beach where he does the robotic dancing

got once upon a time in the midlands somewhere but i cant remember a thing about it, will have to dig it out.

@marc... all three series are on amazon, under a tenner if you buy through other traders on there click :D
