    Network hell

    ARGHHHHH!!!

    my network card on my comp is fucked!! it makes my computer unstable and just ends up crashing after 5 mins!! ive tried:

    1, changing the ports

    2, getting the latest drivers off the net

    But still it keeps freezing!! Dave has the exact smae card on his older computer and it works fine! it cant be the walls etc because hes 1 floor above me??

    any help guys??

    try his card - this will either 1) point out that the network card is fucked 2) your motherboard/OS setup is having compatability problems with that NIC

    nics are dirt cheap - get a cheapo one from ebuyer... not worth the hassle trying to make it work.

    What brand?

    What OS are you using?

    I set one up last week and one of the pc's was using windows 2000 - which anit pretty for wireless networking.... might be that?

    Also try sticking your NIC in his pc, just to be sure...

    we are using XP.

    We re taking the broken cards back i think. The cards are rubbish i think, they got some terrbile reveiws...:p
