I'm selling mine on ebay if you want one of them, can't afford to keep it at the minute. few months old and mint condition.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5721376100&ssPageName=ADME:B:LC:UK:1
Are 4/6 channels really necessary when 99% people cant mix on more than 2 sources at the same time? Find me someone who mixes on more than 3 channels at any given time and i'll agree Otherwise 3 channels is good anything more is pointless @ eeeeeeeeeee I would if you dont sell it and I can have some time to find that sort of money
Should be here by Friday hopefully!! Loving the reviews of it like, thats what twisted my arm....I also considered a DJM600 and the Xone:32 but that won in the end, it's a bit different for a start!! Used one ages ago and thought it was the dogs bollocks! Juski - I have absolutley no need at all for more than three channels
The mixer has 4 channels, just 3 faders- it's got matrix input so you can have 4 line/4 phono plugged in and assign each one to all/any of the 3 channels
Mixer arrived yesterday, after giving it a good thrashing I must say I am extremely impressed! The quality is great, very smooth faders and a very solid feel to it! Getting used to the linear EQ isn't too bad really, and it makes those crafty bass cuts alot easier, although I use my finger as a stopper cos you could easily overshoot when you push it back up again. The kill is one of the best I've used, Vestax say its - infinity, not entirely sure what that means, but it totally wipes out the selected frequency range. Filters are great too, i'm sure once i'm used to them more I can get some cracking results! The matrix assign system is cool too....you could have one track playing, with the bass on channel 1, the mids on channel 2, and the hi's on channel 3 if you wanted...then you could manipulate each frequency as you see fit with filters etc. Very clever stuff, a great purchase! It's bloody huge like, its as tall as a deck is wide That about wraps up my DJ set up for a few years
i like vestax. this however look horrible. faders for eqing...hmm. i would have saved some money and gone with the 275, or tried to get a 55 personally. but if your happy.
I upgraded from a 275. And yeah i'm happy! It's actually easier to use a fader really! If you tried it out you would find the same....I had the same doubts before I bought it to be honest! PMC 55 Twice as much!!
The faders EQs are class on the mixer, lets you be loads more creatuive, you can use them as kills, take a bit of getting used to but excellent idea
fair enough. I find that my 275 is the best all round mixer i have ever used, and more than adequate for home mixing. Liam (batfink) for a 55 from ebay for about 150...
id prefer faders than knobs for eq's - trying to kill bass and/or switch them accurately very quickly is a right pain in the arse with rotary controls.
