Newcastle Match Are there any streaming sites that have us on, i normally check justin and MyP2P, but it seems we are too shit to even be shown on there lol
I havent found anything. I know Nufc.com said there is no overseas coverage either Missed 2 goals already aswell
Our first four games vs. the scum's first four games in the championship... ... where were you again boys?
The Championship is so overrated, everyone thought we'd be getting scalped & our players pulled to bits as it was a tough league. We've won/drew our hardest games with the thinnest squad the NUFC has ever had.
Only 4 games gone mate Saying that our win against Sheff Wed looks more impressive now, there winning 4-0 at the minute
Who is this Argie we have playing in defence today? Wouldnt think it was the same bloke who played our last 3 games
we've been playing and passing well so far this season, and it's good that the goals are coming from all over the park. however, we still need a lot of new players, and a manager, or it will be a long four months. a centre-half or two, a couple of full-backs, right and left midfielders and at least one striker (still hoping for beckford) should do it.
Another good result, I Just hope we can keep it goin. Roll on the football league highlights BBC1 - 11:45 ! ...the proper MOTD
Just waiting for the games like Scunthorpe & Blackpool to let us down. If we can keep most of the squad we have I.e: S.Taylor etc... & build around them with a few underdogs we should be fine this season I reckon. ...This monday 'announcement' from NUFC cant come quick enough.
I said the same thing to John a few weeks back, i have seen some ropey Sunderland sides win the championship over the past 15 years. The gap in quality is immense, and its getting bigger all the time. Any kind of quality stands out in that league a fucking mile off, look at the likes of Shola and Chopra and the goals they score down there compared to the prem. The crunch games will come when you play the other top sides, as i think the likes of boro etc will be the ones challenging you for promotion, and how you do against them can make the difference between the top 2 and the play offs.
Aye definitely the quality in Leagues seems to be miles apart, I know where only into our 4th game but from what I've seen the Championship isn't all that? Like you said with the likes of Shola & Chopra (both written off in the Premiership) have both opened successfully for their teams, they simply wouldn't get a look in back up in the Premiership. Not to mention the fact we've sold 10 (I think it is now) of our strongest players from what was a relatively thin squad to begin with & were still proving hard to beat? it's wiered! I think a lot of teams are going to get a shock thinking there gunna come up to the Town & go through us, but it's just the little shitty games here & there I can see letting us down (the Darlington away's etc...). I've never really followed the Championship & was really worried when we went down, moreso when the mass exodus began, but it doesn't seem to be as painful as I thought it was gunna be (says this while holding rabbits tail & crossing fingers). Were yet to play Ipswich, Cardiff & Boro who will be the last of our biggest tests if you like. If we pull through those id be pretty confident for the rest of the season. Id take a trip down Wembley for a chance in the play off's & a full day on the piss over bobbing round in the Premiership as a calender filler for teams any day like.
The best indicator of how good or bad the championship is are the teams that regularly yoyo between the leagues. No offence intended here, but Boro and until recently, Sunderland seemed to be two good examples of teams that were too good for the Champ but not good enough for the Premiership. West Brom are another good example. If the standard of the Championship was higher you wouldn't see these teams getting promotion again at the first attempt.
Spot on this like. Boro will be the side to beat With Keane, Sunderland pissed the Championship & for the first time, used it as a platform to stay in the Premier League (compared to the time before with McCarthy? i think). If Newcastle went up, id like to think we had the same idea Although this is Newcastle, and we all know that wont happen
Aye just read up on that. Didnt realise he kept you up for that long! I was refering to more recent times anyway
