they've tested their first icbm, wonder what will happen now

There are meetings between the chinese and south korean government happening now , Given that the chinese are usually north koreas biggest ally its a clear indication that the chinese wont stand for it . America will have there say soon as well , problem is this could be the excuse Dubya has been waiting for !

Even the Chinese are giving them a diplomatic battering.....they're going to find themselves increasingly isolated against this kind of international pressure.

north korea have been isolated since independence... which is why international pressure means nothing.

they've faced international pressure since conception and no one can do a thing about it...

Its a sorry state of affairs. Will probably cause a ripple effect in the region where other countries may try and develop a nuclear program for thier own defence. Scary stuff

You're right to say that you can sanction countries out of any influence from the outside world however - I'm unsure what action the UN security council can/will take.

We need to be very careful about any form of military action - the civilians of North Korea have suffered enough at the hands of their administration.

This would have clearly been a far more justifiable target for regime change than Iraq.

Not everyones opinion is the same though (mine is btw) But a lot of politicians would trust them. Basically they COULD quite possibly start a third world war over this.
