Numark Decks Just lookin for some advice if possible, Have got the chance of a newer set of decks, These are Numark TTX1 which look really good but a mate said to stay away and just to get technics 1210's, What does everyone think of these Any help Paul
Re: Numark Decks I prefer the numark ttx1 to technics I also prefer vestax pdx2000 to the technics, probs just me being an awkward bastard though try before you buy
dont get the ttx1s, theyre pap. Theres only one deck worth buying, and thats Technics. I have had Vestax also, but my Technics are the best. I would only ever replace them with a better set of technics, if these should ever break. Which is unlikely. I had the 'honour' of being one of the first randoms in the UK to play on the TTX1s...within 10 mins the deck had to be replaced cso the daft user changable panels got stuck and kept changing speed at random. The other deck then started playing up shortly after. Dont be fooled by pointless gimmicks that you won't use; just stick with the tried and tested. Technics.
i would get technics but if you your determined not too i would recommend stantons high end decks over the numarks or vestax...
what was better than technics when they first came out in the 70,s???:spangled: :spangled: :spangled: :spangled:
Gatecrasher1 uses Vestax...... ....but then, last time I was there, they broke, and the dj's were stuck with the CDJ's
those phones are shit...when were mk2s introduced then (i,m assuming this is when they put the fader style pitch on) anyone got or seen a mk1 or got a picture of one???
hahah rubbish! Technics are well known to have better sound quality, its scientific fact that s shaped arms have better quality than straight ones. Why, exactly, do you use 100% pitch?? With proper set up, Technics wont skip. The DMC Championship speaks for itself...
He didnt say it was for mixing, just for using as an effect. and a lot of high end hifi decks use straight arms, so they cant sound that shite after all. PDX's with 8% pitch have the best of both worlds
thats the main reason i sold my pdxd3's, pain in the arse getting adjusted to 8% on the technics every weekend vestax are excellent for tablists, very stable decks, but as technics are in the majority of places, its the most sensible choice. Vestax may or may not be the better turntable, but i cant see all the clubs in the land spending the money changing thier decks just cos something better came around. thats definitly a reason that should be considered when buying decks
