Problem sending Orange text messages Everytime I go to send it says "Check Operator Services" and beeps. I have credit and it was fine yest........ just randomly started happening. The message center number is the same as it was etc etc. The helpdesk is staffed by uneducated fools as well. (well it is a call centre)

Ask em to send u a sim update...... MAY sort the problem but orange are shit for txt's... Its just a case of waiting for em to sort it. I tried orange a few times n found em cack for txt's..wud take hours to deliver em to me and hours for em to arrive to ppl i sent to etc No score.
They were giving free ornage sim cards away at college with 500 free text messages every weekend for six months
i think u can change your message settings somewhere... change it to something else (like text, x400 - all depends on yer phone) then change it back. see if that does owt. failing that - turn it off for a bit - then back on. i've had my t100 'freeze' a few times and a 'reboot' sorts it.
also...... if u have problems sendin/receivin txt's.... in network settings on ur fone - select a difefrent network to what ur on (manual selection...) it will complain (probably) about not bein allowed to use it and u will see u have no signal... now select YOUR network from the list... this logs u off the network completely and re-registeres u on when u re-select it. sometimes the network has problems recognising that u are actually logged on (the fone usually to blame..)
Ask them to check your HLR profile, you will be missing the bearer service code for MO SMS. Double check your msg settings, reboot your phone. Will fix it.
not guaranteed mate - sometimes it is actually just orange playin up - especially with this daft promotion they are doin with PAYG fones...networks prob overloading!
nope, network or SMSC saturation would only cause error "msg not sent this time" The BSC is missing from the SIM profile. Believe me I'm an expert
they havent got a fucking clue. they have had to send the case to tech support and i might have to have a new sim sent out (not good as its regestered under flase details!) iv had loads of sim updates and verifed the message number is correct........ she even told me to clean my sim connector with a pencil rubber (stupid call centre biff). ill give this new stuff a try 2mo. ps. Tribal. Y would this happen out of the blue?
It's just one of them things Pike, the feature just vanishes off teh network. I work for a mobile phone co, the level above tech support, it's a 2 second job. It's just getting through the thick ****s in the call centre to someone in the know. Nowt sinister for it to have gone, it's a common thing.
pike change your centre number to whatever it isn't now and try it. Orange +44973100973 / +44973100974M / +44973100974 My mate had the same problem.
still wont work and i have to wait 5 days before tech support bother their arses. what other sort of product offers such shit service? i have been with out text messaging for about 5 days now and i fucking pay for 5 free a day :fuming:
