Problem with my internet connection Whenever someone phones the house phone and it's picked up, my internet cuts out. I first noticed this with Xbox live and now I'm noticing it on the pc too. I'm sure this didn't used to happen though. What could be the route of the problem here? Filters in the phone sockets? I have the downstairs phone socket which is the main one, then the upstairs one which I'm guessing comes from the downstairs? Then there's an extension from that into my room, then a connection from mine to another room. It doesn't matter which phone is picked up, the internet cuts out temporarily whenever it's answered. However, it doesn't fully disconnect as far as i can tell.. it's just unusable/no pages load/xbox live cuts off. Any ideas?
Sounds like filters. Are you putting a filter on the end of an extension when there is already a filter at the source? All those extensions won't be doing you much good. Cordless phones are well cheap these days
