    Promise in the papers...

Wicked review by Marc Rowlands of Promise in today's Guardian Guide ahead of Corvin next week, it's listed as 2nd in the week's top nights in the UK, good going lads!!

In the two or so short years since its inception, Promise has managed to establish itself as one of the country's busiest and most consistent Friday nights. Sharing the city's Foundation venue (with Saturday's funky house regular Shindig), Promise offers trance and progressive house to it's main room audience from residents Matt Hardwick and local lad Richard Tulip. Its second room, Always, is a much lighter affair, with US garage and deep house the mainstays for regular spinners like the People Get Real crew and Lee Roberts. This week mix master Corvin Dalek brings his "wet and hard" sound to the main room, whilst Phil Hooten, a regular on the Leeds funky house scene, joins Roberts out back

Nice report....out of interest, what was the top night?

Top of the tree was the 3rd birthday of Mr Scruff's night in Manchester, so they cover a fairly vast area and mix of styles :)
