Radio Slaves Bluetooth Broadcast.. Miami partygoers treated to free music at this years WMC. Shindig will be reporting from this years forthcoming Miami gathering, courtesy of Scott Bradford who will be in the thick of the action this week. Some news that has reached us already is Berlin based producer Radio Slave’s proposal to treat attendees of Beatport’s Pool Party to some free music, utilising the popular Bluetooth technology. The Bluetooth broadcast by the electronic and techno wizard, will fire a free track to anybody within range of the stage during his performance, given his stature as one of the most exciting and in demand dj’s i expect a packed house (or pool). Radio Slave’s ‘Koma Koma’, which is taken from the final part of the No Sleep series on Rekids, will be floating about under the miami sun- all partygoers need to do is turn on bluetooth on their mobile phones and accept connectivity with the Rekids head honcho. I agree its a perfectly timed marketing concept, utilizing technology with endless possibilities. It is pretty cool, though with city centers and trains packed with people staring at their mobiles do we really need a scene of half the crowd standing motionless trying to connect their phones?..
