Ricky Gervais - Funny or Shit? when he did the 11 o'clock show, i thought his observational humour was shite. Not in the least funny. infact, his face makes me angry. Then, out came 'the office' - was canny funny and i liked it. Now - he's just released his second tour DVD - this looks even more unfunny than the first tour DVD. I think his humour is crap. i don't like him personally. He's just not funny - but i seem to be in the minority. What do u people think?

Prime example of a one trick pony imo. The Office was great, but Steve Merchant co-wrote that, the standup stuff is dire though...
He is fuckin ace. The Office is genuis. The only thing to rival Partridge in TV comedy in recent times imo. Saw him on his Politiks tour in Newcastle earlier this year and he was funny as fuck. Legend imo.
His stuff on the eleven o clock show was quite funny - the really un-PC stuff specifically. His talk show on CH4 was embarrasing to the point of being unwatchable. Having Z grade celebrities being led down the same old bored paths to a typical put down left a bad taste in my mouth The Office - BRILLIANT Animals - LAME LAME LAME. Monotonous rubbish i thought. I think he's got alot of talent, but in a specific area only - Bit like Peter Kay.
It's strange why I don't like Little Britain, could be because it's just soooooo obvious humour you know what's going to happen before it happens. Thing is, I love Monty Python etc which is kind of the same but just done so much better! :spangled: Just didn't get the point of The Office. Tried to watch a couple of episodes but couldn't get into it. Bored the tits off me...!
He was fantastic on the 11 o'clock show!! Liked The Office but his character got on my tits too much...
