Time magazine, quoting a US intelligence official, reports that Saddam has denied during initial questioning that his country possessed weapons of mass destruction.

"The US dreamed them up itself to have a reason to go to war with us," the magazine quoted the former president as saying.

The fact Iraq had WMD was THE reason behind the invasion.. it looks like this was all totally made up by the USA.

Now that Saddam is overthrow and the Iraqi people are enjoying a new "better" way of life.......... NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE ABOUT THE LIES??!?! This is wrong!!!!

Saddam shouldn't of been caught, saddam shouldn't fo been removed from governm,ent - at least not by an invading country... Saddams regime should of been toppled by the UN if anyone.

because there are powers set in plave to govern international laws, if these laws are broken it is their job to intervine... Not America's.

America does not dictate international law, nor should it enforce it... Specially as the US break so many laws themselves. America went to war with Iraq (after supporting them) when Iraq invaded kuwait, how is America invading Iraq any different.

Basically America isn't god and can't dictate how countries are governed.

The thing I take issue with hear is the word Yanks. People seem to have a hang up about Americans. I can tell you now that not all Americans are like the ones you see on the television or spot around Newcastle looking for the Hancock. Many, if not most of them are well informed and know exactly what is going on in the world. And these 'Yanks' whom are so thick, who don't have a clue about the world and love the UK because it is so 'quaint', are actually the minority.

Have any of the anti 'Yank' brigade ever thought why this particular cross-section of America comes to the UK, Australia, South Africa and so on? No? Maybe they come to these English speaking countries because it is easier for them. In other words the thick ignorant mob come here and give other Americans a bad name. I suggest you read "A Place in the World? Places, cultures and globalisation" or "Dissident Geographies: An introduction to radical ideas" to form a better view on just what Americans are like ,and not just base your views on what Micheal Moore and co tells you.

I suggest you get another flyer job, save up your pennies and go to some of these places... I've been to America and I'm going again in January and I can assure you they meet the an awful lot of the stereotypes.
