This is a shame...one of the things that impressed me the most about this board and Promise in particular was the interaction between the promoters and the punters!!! It shouldn't stop!!! Just because there are some people out there who feel they should complain about anything and everything..I say just ignore them!!! They will say that they have the right to voice their opinion...but their opinion is very rarely right...thats why they are in the minority!!!!
Just before you up and leave us.. Sit and look how much you being on the website has done for the board... Most club messageboards are run by webmasters or club enthusiasts who get perks, the promoters rarely get involved with the online community... However when we all post on the message board we know that we will get a response from the actual promise team... not some web master who has no input into what happens at the club what so ever... This is a huge encouragement for people to post here. People are always amazed at the way you and richard mingle with the posters, you don't see yourself as anything special - your just another part of the online promise community. This seperates us from those other "business" sites... Just like in the club - you don't run this for profit... you run it cos you all have a huge passion for it, why should a couple of users take that away form you?!?!? Its YOUR night and YOUR site! You leaving wont be the death of this baord, but it will take away some of that special stuff which has made the board what it is today. I seriously recommend you sleep on this desicion!
Please don't forsake us mark!!!! *sobs* I agree wiv everything that's been said on this thread! It just wouldn't be the same...& no I'm not 'arse-licking' it's just u & richard give the board that whole family/community feel! Please, please, please reconsider this statement!!!
Yeah, i think its great that the actual promise team come on and listen to what we say. I dont know any other club that has either booked a dj, or organised free drinks and stuff just to accomodate its board members! I think ppl have just been taking it for granted recently and with a suden influx of new members its just taken a little while for them to find their feet and get on the same wavelength as everyone else; ie: Not to slag stuff off for no reason except to post.
I hope that you will keep posting on here Mark as it does seem to set us (Promise) apart from other boards. I think that it is up to all of us to look after the board, if we want it to stay as good we need to tell people if they are posting pointless or offensive stuff to stop it. As I've said B4 I hate the idea of censorship, if we can all be responsible with this board then I think it can remain as good as it has (mostly) been so far. So here's what I think, if someone says something that WE don't want on here tell them to stop it but more importantly, tell them why WE don't want it then they might not do it next time. But maybe this is a naff idea? Power to the Promise Citizens!

gotta agree that, even though we sometimes have a clash of opinions u have gotta stay...promise works because you listen to the people that go and what they think of the club and thats why its a success...eg. one example with booking eddie halliwell
yup me totally agrees as far as i know theres no otha msg boards that have the promoter and resident dj posting on a regular basis i know im just repeating what everyone else has said but its one of the things that makes our msg board so good xxx
