Tiesto's new album.... Has anyone heard it yet?? It's embarassing!! I know I like my vocals but they are pure CHEESE!! Ps - sorry if this is in the wrong section
it is... ... On the plus side, I'm impressed that he decided to big up bret frain as the next big thing in the cover notes
EXCELLENT!, U GOTTA BUY IT! - if u have a coal fire  Not up2 much at all, as expected P.s i didn't buy it. .
whats the world coming to when rory no longer buys a copy and sticks his penis through it? shocking state of affairs...
I it's a shame, it makes trance look bad he's completely fucked it off, eveyone has a good laugh at how his styles changed but i don't think it's anywhere near funny for the simple reason he's not the first & won't be the last dj to start ballsin everything up lately n doing utterly shit sets & releasing shit tracks. At this rate, trance will be completely on it's fucking arse within the next few years.
elements of life and in search of sunshine (the first one) are both great albums i enjoy listning to and just be
That worrys me tho, no1 new has the money to release anything anywhere near as good as tracks were say 5 10 years ago, unless they are a big name, what happens when they finally throw in the towel lol what productions we gonna be left with then. It's not looking to good imo. I know there is still alot of good djs about obviouslly, but do they have the cash & time to keep bangin amazing tracks out, things might slow down.
Trance is on it's arse because of Tiesto. To be honest it's better off without him. I'd rather see lots of up and coming producers than one glorified has-been who is intent on farces such as worship arena shows and playing Disneyland. He's gone just like Oakenfold before him - he's done some great stuff but now he's lost his perspective and direction. Not true - I'd argue that a lot of innovation in Trance is stifled because noone's interested in hearing stuff from new producers. Instead they've got this obsession with the "big 3" DJs (Armin, PVD, Tiesto) and what they're doing. It's not like that in any other genre of music and it's unhealthy for this one. You don't need money to release tracks. What you need is some originality, and that's something that trance is sorely lacking right now. The remixes of Lost Witness (Happiness Happening) is a good example. The track was awesome ten years ago, why tinker with it now? No point. If it was something original, more people would probably be interested.
I wouldn't say it's all because of tiesto, but yeh now were better off without him lol. Alot of producers are starting to go more mainstream, probly for the money. People want full on world wide fame, being a trance dj all ur days isn't as good as it gets, thats anoher reason tiesto's went down hill, in my opinion anyway. He wants to be David Guetta.
If you spend days or weeks on end on a track with no equipment yeah u can probly bang something good out using logic ableton etc, or a few good tracks even. But as time goes on u Need more, to go further (quicker) and that costs nomatter what way u look at it.
Nothing wrong with "commercial" tracks - it gets people interested. I started listening to dance music after someone got me a copy of Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems. I don't think you can get much more commercial than that, but it got my attention and after that I started listening (and buying) house and trance in a big way....
Im not slatin comercial music alow it might sound like i am, i just feel trance was once a stronghold, 4 walls one door.. and commercial music is slowly spilling in.
but if you make one good track you will get more cash every time you make a good track thus buying new equipment and that
