    United 93

Went to see this last night :( Was horrible. Good film - made in documentary style and very tense and interesting. But VERY teary :cry2: If you found 9/11 even remotely upsetting dont go see it.

Brilliantly done, but really hard hitting. It's very emotional when there making the phone calls to loved ones, just because you know that it all actually happened. Still a good film to watch, and I enjoyed it, but wish the events hadn't happened in the first place:(

a percentage is going to the memorial, but to be honest everything the film makes after its broke even should go to the families of the victims.

I know it's a good point to make mate. But, with this film, they actually got the permission of the families. I've seen interviews with some of them and they fully back the film itself. Although it caused uproar in America when they first annouced it's release.

I wanna check it out though. But I can see it being quite an upsetting film knowing that these events really did happen.

like the passions I've refused to watch it (unless a mate has bought it and then i'm not funding it)

brave decision to make united 93 so early after the event happened but it seems like theyve done it properly and its shown the event of that day to the best they can, ive heard no reports of hollywoodist influence ruining it so it looks like theyve done a good job.

i still think its too soon, but atleast its been done properly

I'm sure you'd be saying that if one of your family happened to be on board at the time of the highjacking.

Imo, the way they've done it is obviously the right way. And with the backing of the families involved.

Munich is ok.. but is too political for me.

i've got it on the pc, but when i clicked on it to see what the quality of picture was like, the acting seemed abismal, so i haven't watched it yet.

i saw a poster for a twin towers movie too.

a movie was always going to happen though, united 93 was aparently made with the victims families blessings and i suppose you could say its a story that has to be told at some time... and how is a film that different to say a book on the same subject?

when you think about it its similar to making a film about the titanic, ww2 or vietnam... its just this is a lot fresher in the memory.

i'll give it a watch soon.
