who is actually into the 'techno' -sound?

just a bit of curiousity on my part as i actually enjoy playing techno more in my sets, and no i dont just mean picotto i mean the likes of umek, sims, liberator, tom wax etc......

i just thought id ask if anyone actually enjoys it, is into it and may like to hear a bit more from some of the local djing talent???

I like techno! Couldn't have told ya any techno dj's cept picotto but i have heard more than just him. Just dont know who it was.

I have to admit I am pretty ignorant when it comes to techno. Would be interested in hearing a CD or something in order to educate myself slightly!

yeah i like a bit of techno, havent really got into it that much though. I like alot of the lighter stuff by people like Mr G and of course people like Dave clarke & Jeff Mills, but also when i'm into the night Mr Picotto also does it for me, but i couldnt sit a listen to him playing like that all the time.

one of the best essential mixes i have got is a Richie Hawtin one, he uses loads of effects over his tunes wich sounds good.

Some of the best techno ive heard has been at the squat parties that happen in Newcastle

Would probably like techno too then (in its pure form)!

hey helen, ask Kerry for my technoorgasm 'tO1' "puts techno into technoOrgasm" CD i produced for her, it starts off with Samanthat Fu - Theme from Discotheque as an intro tune, then a couple of hard trance tunes to build up to some pounding techno...... the rest of the cd is the techno im on about! check it out, probably from track5 onwards !

yeah i can see what u mean it is quite housy, its the type of techno i like to sit in the house listening to rather than clubbing, if i was going out to listen to it i prefer the harder stuff

i prefer german technoey stuff as opposed to picotto style.

i like kaylab stuff esp. play some of that.

Anyone heard Picotto in the mix 'METAMORPHOSE' cd. Its fucking blinding techno!! Just pure :evil: basslines etc. First tune on cd2 is Johannes Heil 'Chains of babylon'.

If it possible i would have this tunes babies.

yeah i had it on mini disc now i've only got cd1 as someone (who will remain unnamed.....ok it was cyberted) recorded over the other disc.

saw hmv had some copies of it in a while ago was going to buy one but when i went back they were none left!!
