1200 all the way. The black rubs of 1210. I would like to see tech's add a digital control to the 1200 but they should not remove the slider contol. I had a go on this jobson a couple of years ago that allowed you to run 1200/1210 backwards and also allowed pitch lock like on pioneer cd decks, very nice.

    WHY DID I SELL MINE?????? :( :( :( Oh yes, I remember, I never used them. :) :) :)

Technics for Turntables (pref. 1200, only difference is the colour)
    Vestax for Mixers

It's like the bible. Don't start mixing it around, you can't improve on perfection. Add a Pioneer CDJ 1000 Digital Deck and you have the perfect set-up

...Sasha threw his Vestax turntables in his pond, pretty much says it all.

yep, had a really testing set with some a couple of months back  to be honest I think it's more of a tactile thing, I don't like the torque on the platters that kind of thing, very difficult getting subtle moves out of them Technics are easier to manipulate. Good for scratching I suppose, but when you're trying to keep a couple of tracks together for ten minutes they just wind me up - needless work when Technics would be there in seconds ;)

if you say it alot it doesn't make it more true!!!!

I was a skeptic, I thought 1200s were unbeatable. But then my babies came. The start - stop is faster than cyberted downing a pintl. The arm is a practicle design, it actually wants to jump out of the groove and stay out throughout the record! And the platter despite ebing as heavy as the SL's just floats.... sooo smooth!

Erm the only "real" quible SL users can have is the fader... it losens up a little at the different extremes, it suddenly loosens up a lot for no apparent reason. For those who like to roll the record back (just a little flick, letting the platter wind down slowly backwards), this is a pain. But its just a matter of technique and getting used to the new deck... when u buy a new car u always hate it for the first week!

Nah vestax are the future... the model t ford ruled the automobile world for years - but it had to evolve.

Only thing that doesn't evolve is hard house (hehe) and look at the hole thats digging for itself!!!!
